Unemployment benefits

Hey,
I have a question about the unemployment benefits and also for the PD U1 formulate.
How long do I have to work here on finland, so that I can get these unemployment benefits from the PD U1 formulate what I've got from my home country germany. Do I have to work 4 weeks in a full time Job?
And now you wait for an answer from The Te-toimisto that I am registered as an jobseeker. I also visit The Finnish language course in Sampo in Lappeenranta.
How long does it take that kela decide about the unemployment benefits after they got an answer from Te-toimisto and do kela also need the confirmation from migri to decide and do I have to wait for the money until migri gave a decission.

Kela pays two types of unemployment benefits:

- Basic unemployment allowance
- Labour market subsidy

The basic unemployment allowance is paid to persons who meet the work requirement for employees or self-employed persons when they become unemployed. If you don't meet the work requirement, you may be entitled to labour market subsidy.

Usually, employment in another EU/EES country can be taken into account in the work requirement if the applicant has worked in Finland at least for 4 weeks after the employment abroad. You can read here more in detail what is required of the employment so that it can be taken into account in the work requirement.

The 4 weeks of employment in Finland is not required in the following cases:

- The applicant lives permanently in Finland but has worked in another EU/EES country at the same time
- The applicant has lived permanently in Finland before the employment abroad and his/her stay abroad lasts under 1 year
- The person has lived in another Nordic country but has received unemployment benefit from Finland during the past 5 years, has been employed at least for 1 week in Finland or has been self-employed in Finland at least for 4 months

In international cases, the processing time of unemployment applications is longer than in national cases. Jos Britannian kansalainen muuttaa Suomeen, ja on työskennellyt siellä, voiko hän saada peruspäivärahaa? Britanniahan ei ole enää EU-maa, mutta henkilö on työskennellyt Britannian EU-jäsenyyden aikana ja sen jälkeen. Nyt Suomessa B-luvalla perhesiteen perusteella eli ei voi saada työmarkkinatukea.

Britannian EU-erosta huolimatta Kelan peruspäivärahan työssäoloehdon tarkastelussa voidaan yhä huomioida myös Britannian työskentelykaudet. Tätä varten etuudenhakijan tulisi pyytää Britannian paikalliselta työttömyysturvaviranomaiselta lomake U1. Kela voi myös tarvittaessa pyytää tätä suoraan Britanniasta hakemuksen käsittelyn yhteydessä. Voit lukea lisää työttömyysturvaan liittyvistä kansainvälisistä tilanteista täältä.
